This presentation will provide an overview of basic IPC strategies for resident and staff safety in long term care.
Learner Objectives:
  1. List common Infection Prevention and Control gaps (IPC) in long term care.
  2. Discuss strategies for addressing these IPC gaps.
  3. Provide an overview of critical basic IPC practices that should be in place for resident and staff safety.
Nurse Learner Outcome: At the conclusion of this session, participants will self-report a knowledge gain of the appropriate Infection Prevention and Control practices and strategies for taking care of residents and staff safely in nursing homes
