This session will give an overview of Michigan Medicaid issues and trends, discussing the status of a potential new Medicaid reimbursement system, initial settlements and rate setting.  The session will also include a discussion on occupancy trends, bed certification strategies, and developments in Non-Available Bed Plans (NABPs).

Additionally, Michigan Managed Care will be discussed, with the recent announcement of the transition of the pilot MI Health Link (MHL) program to a Highly Integrated Duals Eligible (HIDE) Special Needs Program (SNP) effective 1/1/26.  Details on the recent formation of a Michigan long term care Provider Owned Network will be shared, a network meant to work directly with health plans on quality measures amidst a growing level of Medicare Advantage penetration in the state.
