Long-term care administrators face daily ethical dilemmas at the intersection of resident autonomy, family wishes, regulatory mandates, and end-of-life care. This session explores the ethical frameworks and legal obligations guiding hospice coordination, honoring advance directives, and managing decision-making when power of attorney is involved. Using real-life case examples and current regulatory guidance, participants will gain tools to support ethically sound, resident-centered care while maintaining compliance and preserving dignity.
