This training offers staff the opportunity to make adjustments that will have a lasting impact increasing satisfaction and self-efficacy, while generating the ripple effect of improving the overall wellbeing and quality of care to patients in compliance with state and federal regulations, mitigating risks, and operating a thriving business.
Nurse Learner Outcome: At the conclusion of this session, participants will self-report knowledge gain on how to provide de-escalation techniques and nonviolent crisis intervention on the post session evaluation.
Learner Objectives:
- Identify the problematic behavior and potential causes.
- Discuss how to prevent behaviors prior to reaching violence or aggression.
- Discuss how to de-escalate a problem if it becomes violent or aggressive.
- Examine what to do if de-escalation techniques are not effective.
