This presentation will discuss how to determine a resident's responsible party, who is permitted to sign admission paperwork/contracts, and when it is necessary to file guardianship and conservatorship petitions. This presentation will further discuss the risks and implications of identifying the wrong responsible party, and implications of not petitioning the court for guardianship or conservatorship when one is needed.
