This session presents innovative wellness strategies to improve the well-being of older adults in retirement communities, especially those adjusting to medical conditions affecting their independence. Participants will explore a comprehensive definition of well-being, encompassing the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of this population. The session will present three effective programming strategies to help residents enhance their lifestyle, improve cognitive and physical fitness, and manage nutrition. Additionally, participants will discover three impactful wellness programs that empower older adults to age in place and foster a long-term, wellness-focused lifestyle. Professionals will leave with actionable insights and practical steps to implement resident-centered wellness initiatives that promote successful aging in their communities.
