Kristen Schank began her legal professional career in 2000 as a defense attorney representing health care professionals, hospitals, nursing homes, police officers, and veterinarians. In 2003, Ms. Schank joined a large, self-insured health system as a Claims Manager for hospital professional liability, physician professional liability, general liability, and employment practice liability lines of coverage. During her almost 20 tenure at this health system, Ms. Schank was promoted to Director of Claims and also served as a Senior Area Claims Manager. Currently, Ms. Schank is a Litigation Manager at Hamlin and Burton where she handles claims in Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. She was recognized as a Rising Star by Michigan Super Lawyers Magazine and has received many accolades and awards throughout her claim management career. Ms. Schank earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, her Master's in Social Work from Wayne State University, and her Bachelor of Arts from Oakland University.
