Jay LaNew is a Workforce Development professional with more than 20 years of experience working with employers, job seekers, workforce development organizations, and community partners. He currently serves as the Apprenticeship/Business Services Officer with Capital Area Michigan Works!, where he works directly with partner employers to develop and establish Registered Apprenticeship programs through the U.S. Department of Labor. As part of the Business Services Team, he also assists partner employers in accessing worker training funds through Michigan's Going PRO Talent Fund.
