Legionella is a waterborne pathogen that poses considerable risk to individuals in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities. This presentation will describe situations that may place patients at higher risk and the current state of legionellosis outbreaks and facility investigations in Michigan. Participants will also learn about practical infection control measures that can help reduce the Legionella prevalence and exposure likelihood in their facilities.
