2024 HCAM Webinar: Provider Owned Network
HCAM has partnered with its national affiliate, AHCA, to establish a Provider-Owned Network (PON), a separate legal entity exclusively available to HCAM member providers.
Recently incorporated, MI Health Quality Partners (MHQP) will collaborate with Michigan’s third-party payers on value-based contracting, focusing on improving quality outcomes and advancing value-based reimbursement models.
MHQP is the 10th state-level provider-owned network to "go live" under AHCA, with many more states currently in development.
With one of the highest managed care penetration rates in the country—over 60% Medicare Advantage membership—Michigan is shifting toward managed care at a rapid pace. Additionally, the MI Health Link pilot program will transition to a permanent HIDE SNP, MI Coordinated Health, in 2026. As Michigan moves further away from traditional fee-for-service models, provider-owned networks offer an important opportunity for providers to gain a stronger voice in negotiations with Michigan health plans.
Currently, over 100 HCAM member facilities have expressed interest in joining MI Health Quality Partners’ PON. HCAM looks forward to sharing more information on the benefits of being part of a provider-owned network.
This webinar is offered at no cost to HCAM members. Registration is limited to members only.
