Program Summary
Over the past few decades, life safety and emergency preparedness in senior living facilities have gained significant attention, particularly in the wake of major incidents such as devastating hurricanes, impactful facility fires, and a growing number of resident elopements. In response to these challenges, CMS implemented the NFPA 2012 Life Safety Code more than eight years ago as well as comprehensive Emergency Preparedness requirements to better ensure facilities are fully prepared and compliant.
This day-long seminar is designed specifically for long-term care providers, guiding them through the survey processes and clarifying key aspects to Life Safety and Emergency Preparedness requirements. Kenneth Daily, Life Safety and Emergency Preparedness Planning Expert, will offer invaluable insights into preparing for a survey and fostering productive interactions with surveyors. He will provide expert guidance on ensuring compliance with the inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) protocols essential for both Life Safety and Emergency Preparedness compliance as well as water management – legionella.
By the end of the session, attendees will be equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the complexities of Life Safety Code and Emergency Preparedness compliance and improve their facility’s safety performance. Successful response requires leadership, coordination and efficient management. Kenn, one of the nation’s leading experts, will share valuable insights on how proactive preparedness can prevent injury, save lives, and protect property, finances, and resources.
