I have more than 13 years of experience supporting healthcare organizations in hand hygiene improvement, performance measurement, and behavior change. Drawing on more than 1,000 hours of direct experience working with frontline nursing teams, I have helped healthcare leaders identify and address barriers to performance improvement through systems-based strategies, accountability processes, and evidence-based approaches to sustainable change. My experience as a critical care nurse, infection preventionist, and clinical educator has provided practical insight into the challenges of translating quality improvement goals into measurable results. These experiences form the foundation of my presentation on leading and lagging indicators in quality improvement.
